A treatment that enhances the effects of acupuncture using the sound of singing bowls.

About Singing Bowls

Singing bowls, also known as Tibetan singing bowls, are typically crafted from various metals. When lightly struck with a wooden mallet, they produce a resonant harmonic sound that, though seemingly singular, carries a wide and harmonious tone that lingers in the ears and throughout the body.

Since the human body is composed of about 70% water, when the sound and vibrations of the singing bowl interact with the body, the frequencies create a stronger resonance that accelerates blood circulation. This is the physical impact of sound frequencies. As a tool for sound healing, singing bowls can bypass conscious thought and directly affect the body, inducing the brain to generate a large amount of alpha waves in a short period. It promotes deep relaxation in the brain while simultaneously relaxing the body, accelerating cellular repair and purification, balancing brain waves, and alleviating fatigue.

Singing Bowls + Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medical practice that activates the body's self-healing mechanisms by stimulating specific acupoints through needle insertion. Typically, there is a period of time where the needles are left in place after insertion. Although it may seem unremarkable, this is a crucial part of each acupuncture treatment. During this time, the stimulation from acupuncture travels through the twelve meridians within the body, spreading the healing effects throughout. Acupuncture needles are also made of metal, similar to singing bowls. Therefore, by striking the singing bowl during the needle retention period, the sound waves can better penetrate the body from the acupoints. The vibrations of the sound waves not only deepen the stimulation of the acupoints but also create a profound state of relaxation, enhancing the circulation and flow of Qi and blood within the meridians during the needle retention.
